New TPS regional office in Leeds
Design and professional services company TPS is opening a new office in Leeds to help develop its northern business activities.
TPS, with a turnover of £30m and nearly 500 employees, is one of the UK’s most progressive architectural and engineering design practices, and part of support services and construction company Carillion plc.
TPS was recently recognised in the 2006 RIBA Stirling Prize Awards for two prestigious projects at Barajas Airport Madrid. TPS led the multi-disciplinary engineering planning and design team including Richard Rogers Partnership. The project also won the prestigious IStructE (Institution of Structural Engineering) Award for commercial or retail structures.
TPS also claimed one of the Stirling prizes runners up awards as Schal project managed the National Assembly for Wales using in-house planning supervisors, security consultancy, BREEAM assessors and design advisors.
TPS has recently been awarded the design contract for the British Army super Garrison at Catterick, with Carillion acting as main contractor. The contract includes the building and refurbishment of single and married quarters, mess halls, training, sports facilities and workshops. TPS’s new Leeds office will help them to better support this 10 year multi-million pound contract.
The multi-disciplinary design team of architects, structural and civil engineers together with building surveyors will be recruited from the Leeds area with support from TPS’s Edinburgh and Birmingham offices.
