SAM goes from strength to strength
The Structures Asset Management (SAM) team at design, management and consultancy practice TPS continues to go from strength to strength as it secures a major contract extension.
The SAM team is pleased to announce its continued involvement with the examination of structures on the Channel Tunnel Rail Link, having just secured service provision on the recently built Section Two through London. The team has already been successfully delivering services on Section One operational railway in Kent for the last four years.
The new five-year contract extension includes the examination of structures and additional professional services for High Speed 1 (formerly Channel Tunnel Rail Link) between St. Pancras and the Channel Tunnel. As part of the scope, TPS will be responsible for over 700 bridges, viaducts, tunnels, retaining walls, acoustic barriers and culverts.
Paul Jackson, head of the SAM business, commented: “I believe we’ve achieved this award through our high quality client-centered delivery and dedicated hard work by team members over the last four years. By focusing on a long-term relationship with Network Rail (CTRL) Ltd and collaborating with our colleagues at Carillion Rail CTRL IMC, we are able to offer various creative innovations. All involved parties have welcomed the mutual benefits achieved from this relationship.”
