Malcolm Cook
Director of Architecture
My role is to be the voice of the client on the architectural team, insisting on the right people and ideas to get the result, while keeping project risks and costs to a minimum. This is essential as we are dealing today with more and more complex contracts and multi-headed clients. There have been lots of highlights in my career, but I’m particularly proud of the British Airways London Eye, on which I was director and project architect. I enjoy the fact that what is essentially a transient structure has become such a landmark. Out of office hours, I’m a big supporter of the cancer charities, particularly Macmillan nurses who do such a fantastic job in difficult circumstances.
